Starting on the two high side pulls, the stand, and going up the center of the boulder is Intuition, V4. And starting on the ledge down left, Instinct, and crossing into Intuition an topping out the center is V5. And I definitely think the Bootjack ArĂȘte is V3; otherwise it's a very sandbagged V2. The Bay Area Rock describes these problems very poorly, and it calls starting on the ledge and traversing into the arĂȘte Instinct and V4, which it's not. Feels more like a hard V5 or maybe V6 doing the traverse. Mar 3, 2016

I wish there was more information on Mt Tam. Is the center line on Bootjack Instinct or Intuition? It's definitely harder than V3, more like v4/5. Jun 28, 2015

nice! fyi - i cleaned and did that one first and called it "Intuition". there was also a good variation to it i called "Instinct" before some holds broke making it less appealing. the sit down left is v5 and the right arete "bootjack arete" v3 sit or v7 low sit is great too i think. glad to see some folks enjoying it!

theres a lot more info on new tam stuff on my blog; summitorplummet.blogspot.com
