In response to a criticism to my rating of this climb at a 5.8. that was simply the "consensus" rating given back in the late 1980's when I was a frequent climber in the area. A "great climb?" Not really, as many here aren't really that enjoyable. Just by comparison...better than most. Mar 21, 2017

This is one of the nicer routes that's easily accesable from the parking lot. It starts near THE tree, and a rappel is required to access the climbing. Sometimes led, but frequently top roped. Doesn't get too near the river, which can be a bit psychic. Solid 5.8. Great rock and good climbing if you like hand cracks. Carpenter's Corner and Slim Pickins are my favorite Fremont Canyon routes.
