Monahiki Elia

5.10b, Sport, 80 ft,  Avg: 3.5 from 79 votes
FA: unknown
International > Europe > Greece > Kalymnos > Grande Grotta

Description

At most other crags this would be a 4 star route but when compared to the other route in the Grande Grotta I have to give it 3. This is a great warm-up route with easy climbing leading to some fun tufa stemming action. Don't forget to use your feet or the pump might sneak up on you.

Location

Monahiki Elia is located on the right side of the cave where the climbing is more vertical.

Protection

Bolts to a 2 bolt anchor (not sure how many).

[Hide Comment] A bit slick and stiff for the first burn, but a very nice warm up once you get it dialed Jan 18, 2018

[Hide Comment] Incredible intro to tufa climbing. Really weird, and three-dimensional. Use this to get used to the style nearby! May 4, 2018

[Hide Comment] Pumpy as first warmup of the day! Some feet are slick. 2019 Guide has it F6b which we thought was spot on. Oct 8, 2018
