Highland Highball

This is a true classic in Grayson Highlands State Park. This line is hands down my favorite v2 in GHSP.

Sit start in front of the boulder matched on the massive, acute angled side-pull column. Make a tough move up to establish on the face (may be the physical crux). Work in a direct line up the face through big moves to massive hands. The last move or two are possibly the hardest due to the mental crux, but the hands are huge. Bring a solid mind to this problem and it will feel like cake.

[Hide Comment] Never wanted to top out a 20 ft line so bad. Did with the 3 pads and 2 spotters and still shook like a leaf. Great top out though and as all boulders in this area into a awe inspiring view. Jul 19, 2012

[Hide Comment] Ryan,
Anytime I'm in the Highlands I climb this boulder. If I had to pick one problem in all of GHSP to be my favorite, this would be it. Jul 20, 2012

[Hide Comment] great line begging to be climbed. only real difficulty is at the start/bottom section and then a jug-fest to the heady top out. Oct 10, 2017
