Moment of Inertia

V7, Boulder,  Avg: 3.2 from 6 votes
FA: Nate Woods
International > N America > Canada > British Columbia > Fraser Valley > Elbow Lake Boul… > Upper Slide

Description

A great problem on the steep face of the Inertia Boulder. Start with the left hand on the jug and the right on a gaston. Reach out right to a good pinch that will set you up for the big throw to the lip and finish with a stiff mantle.

The start can be awkward for taller climbers.

There is a sit-start project from a left two finger pinch and the right low on the arete.

Location

On the Inertia Boulder which is leaning up against the Scarface Boulder. See topo.

[Hide Comment] Amazing problem if you ignore the potential dab factor at the start. Top is a lot cleaner than in the topo photo. Mantel wasn't as bad as it initially looks. Aug 21, 2014
[Hide Comment] Great problem, however The Hunger is a more pure line, and not really harder. Definitely try The Hunger if you do this first. youtu.be/O8T8vqymksE Apr 15, 2022
