The area’s namesake and a must do. Start on rail then find your way out left to positive hold. From there move up face on progressively better holds to easy slab top out.

Obvious problem up face of the tall boulder you come to when entering the Smiley area.

Bouldering Pad: Just need one for this beauty. Excellent landing.

Love the jugs on the topout slab. It is possible to top out on the left arete, or five feet to the right of the atete. There is a good eliminate to this problem. It involves not using the edge around the corner. Start on the rail, but only use the three heavily chalked pinches/pockets for hands. V4/5 this way? Chet Gross invented the eliminate. Jan 23, 2011

I'm not a fan of this problem Feb 21, 2011
Not sure if a piece broke off or if the intermediate hold between the start rail and the crimp around the side is just such crap. Super fun climb that killed me mentally. Took me 4 trips to get the sit-start! Apr 29, 2015
