Description

Cruxy V4 intro boulder problem on thin face crimps. Finish up with some techie 5.10+/5.11- face climbing for about another 40 feet until you reach the anchors. A hold has broken since the FA which likely has made this route harder (perhaps 12a?). It was already a bit stout to begin with.

Location

Start just right of the spray-painted 82 sign

Protection

Bolts.

Anchors at the top are SS pigtails.

D. Delay and I changed out the plated steel quicklinks and aluminum biners at the top with hardware from the Access Fund/American Alpine Club/local funded hardware replacement pool today. This route now has "pigtails" at the lower-off point. These may take some getting used to in order to thread quickly but they are more durable and won't degrade over time like the springs in a carabiner. One of the biners there already had a stiff gate that wasn't closing properly. You can always clip the bolt or any of the connecting materials with a draw if you need something "now". May 3, 2016
