Description

One of the few moderates at Y-12. Mantle past the first bolt before heading up to the rest of the route. I very fun overhanging roof section brings you to a vertical face that leads up to the chains just below a small roof. This route can stay dry during a rain shower.

Location

Located on the far left side of the Y-12 wall past the severely overhanging Vision Buttress.

Protection

7 bolts and anchor shuts.

[Hide Comment] About 200 yards past Vision, 100 yards past the 'vores (Herbivore, Carnivore etc).

[Hide Comment] I found this route to be a lot harder than the 11's to the right, possibly due to the copious amounts of dirt and lichen. Once this route is cleaned up I think it could be a super classic. It had a lot of variety, from some tricky balancy moves midway up and some challenging moves in the roof section above. Sep 3, 2012

[Hide Comment] I agree with Chad, this is a very good route minus the dirty shelves and the lichen covered bottom area. Definitely worth doing. Sep 4, 2012

[Hide Comment] I believe the Kelly Brown guidebook has this route mislabeled on the picture. The picture is labeled as route #36, but it should be #35 for "Spider up my crack".

Definitely worth doing! Apr 17, 2016
