On sight attempt. Fell at the last bolt! :/ Real fun route with a lot of great movement and assortment of holds. A must do!

[Hide Comment] Correct me if I am wrong but this is the left most route on the Pink wall climbing the face just to the right of the arete. If this is true then this route actually has 9 bolts(one you can't see from the ground) and it ends in chains. Sep 23, 2010
[Hide Comment] Yep, 9 bolts to chains. Guidebook says 8. Fun, interesting climbing. Do it! (In my very limited experience, this is toward the soft end of the grade...) Apr 28, 2014

[Hide Comment] I agree with Phil. Fun movement but only a short (and soft) crux at the top. Good first 12a to do. Lots of rest and great climbing Jun 8, 2019

[Hide Comment] Beware: The sharp right hand side crimp at the top crux is about to break. Just a matter of time. Sep 3, 2020

[Hide Comment] As prophesized, said vertical right hand side pull broke today. Fortunately it broke in a very convenient way, and the climb goes at the same grade with the exact same movement with a nearly identical side pull there. Maybe a 10% worse hold. The new hold should probably see some glue sooner rather than later, the hold feels solid but there are cracks around it. Jan 20, 2021
[Hide Comment] January was a pretty wet month, makes sense holds are breaking if people are climbing. Mar 26, 2021

[Hide Comment] Today I broke off the key hold that you use to clip from at the crux near the 9th bolt which almost landed on my belayer's head. The crux feels much harder but the climb still goes. Good luck. Sorry for breaking it off :( I'm pretty sure it's the same hold that Lincoln mentioned. Oct 9, 2021

[Hide Comment] Super fun route with some cool movement on it. Redpoint crux for me was pulling the last couple moves before the chains. Dec 22, 2021

[Hide Comment] this thing used to be a soft 12. now with the broken holds its feeling like solid 12b to me. still really good tho Apr 19, 2022

[Hide Comment] Mega. Proper sandbagged 12a for Echo as of May 2024. No shutdown move - great power endurance and tech. Rewards proper resting and tactics. May 11, 2024
