A decent warm-up climb in The Trough. Follow good holds up the face, trending right toward the shallow, left-trending arete/ramp system. There's no specific crux, though route-finding is a little funny; follow the path of least resistance, rather than trying to contrive a line straight through the bolts.

Life is the 6th line of bolts up the trough, Hyssop being the first - probably ~75 feet up from the road.

6 bolts, 2-bolt anchor with a couple 'biners; bring some webbing if you're so inclined.

Great route. The hardest part is going up the first bolt, so I guess stick clipping might be a good idea. The route isn't too hard if you have endurance. I found the clipping to be pretty challenging on this route for me, because I'm pretty short and clips are really far left from the good jugs on the arete.

But certainly one of the funner 5.10a I've done at the Poudre. Jun 23, 2015

Climbed this route yesterday (7/18/12) at the end of the day and enjoyed it more than I expected to. The first clip is a little nervy, but after that the climbing is sustained and thoughtful (and a little pumpy) with a decent view of the canyon. Jul 19, 2012
