Description

First route you come to on the Sunnyside wall. Starts with a short LF corner to a roof. Felt quite hard for 5.8--harder than the 5.9 to the left.

Location

First route on Sunnyside wall

Protection

5 bolts, two bolt anchor.

You know, if you'd been carrying a fire arm, like the AZ legislature would have us all do, you could of taken them out from across the canyon. Feb 11, 2011

The "rock fall" was actually trundling by a pair of knobs walking the rim above The Beach. I was over by Community Service and yelled at them to quit (since there could be people below them) and their response was to start chucking rocks at us. Later they were trundling above the Oasis. Sheesh.

We saw one of their trundles make a nice impact on the Sunny Side slab, and sure enough it smashed a hanger. Tried to time our exit from the canyon so we could have a little "chat" with them, but no luck. Feb 11, 2011

second bolt is damaged from rock fall and third is cliped on very thin holds, a fall could be bad, felt like 5.9 Jan 17, 2011
