The crux is the first 15', where things are near vertical, after which the angle begins to ease.
The flow is easiest near its left end, where it cuts through an obvious notch. It may only warrant a 3 there.
There is a long snow-covered slab above the steep wall, but climbing a short way up Isobuttress Left and walking left allows access to several suitable trees for TRing purposes.


This is the first ice one encounters when approaching the BAW from the west. The path goes directly beside it.
Descent: Either traverse right and downclimb the beginning of Isobuttress Left, or wander up and left to intersect the Diagonal Ramp near its bottom.
