Description Suggest change

A relatively high boulder problem, this wide crescent-shaped crack is visible looking up from the road below as the most prominent crack splitting the main formation on Island Wall. It's to the left of the wall with Five Niner, In the Picture, and Overexposed.

The crack runs along the left side of a large thick flake and is good fists and feet for a while, then widens at the top before coming to a broken chunk of the top of the flake acting like a chockstone.

5.6, but know what you're doing in wide cracks before you venture to the top of this one. Long fall to a bad landing regardless of pads.

In my really old guide, this is listed as 5.2! Holy sandbag...

Location Suggest change

On the Island Wall, just above the "lower parking lot" on your way to the top from the road on the east side of the "mountain"

Protection Suggest change

Wide cams, maybe. Set up a toprope? It's a boulder problem, it's just high.
