[Hide Comment] The picture of this boulder is fairly deceiving. The ground in the foreground of the picture (in front of the climb) is a steep incline parralel with the angle of the arête. This makes the boulder more hidden than the picture suggests. To get here, take the first drop in point off the trail and walk upstream until you come to a big obvious down tree lying across the river. Follow this tree to the other side of the river and walk just up the embankment and this problem will be on the backside of a boulder. Jul 10, 2016

For those looking for beta, here's a video, although I think phillip's video does a better job as a guide May 9, 2020

  • BEWARE* as of 10/10/20 racist boulder has sunk.
Original v7 line doesn't seem possible anymore. The entire boulder's base has been washed out. the block has fallen and twisted down to the right around three feet.
Use caution when climbing. Sep 10, 2020
[Hide Comment] The boulder is still possible. Though the sit start is not possible without some digging, myself and a couple others have repeated the og stand start since the tragic sinking. The "stand" starts after the hardest two moves of the original sit on a left hand juggy ledge about 4 inches from the lip, and the right hand starts on a narrowing crimp near the center of the boulder. This version still goes at around v5/6. **BE CAUTIOUS WHILE CLIMBING. THE GROUND IS STILL SUSCEPTIBLE TO GIVING WAY** Mar 15, 2021
[Hide Comment] I just saw the boulder a couple weeks ago and with the amount it sunk, it didn't really seem worth doing to me. May 21, 2021
[Hide Comment] I climbed it yesterday using a short climber beta, the boulder itself probably not going to move and kill you, but the landing zone may actually try to do that, the ground looks unstable after rain and ready to give up, I only climbed it when the ground was totally dry, use your judgment and as always climb on your own risk

[Hide Comment] Any update on the state of this thing? Edit: Checked it out today, no real changes and still probably isn't worth doing Apr 13, 2022
[Hide Comment] Bern not sure if you saw the previous post but this has been done since it’s been moved. Looks sick and certainly worthwhile. May 15, 2022

[Hide Comment] When i went and looked at it, the landing was less than solid and all muddy, but to be expected in april. I didnt think I could fit pads and myself underneath the start but perhaps it is worth a look in drier conditions Jun 8, 2022
