Description

A steep hard start with some very thin crimping leads to a mellow romp to the anchors on cool jugs. Some consider this the finest route on the wall, but I thought Wish Bone was better.

Location

Leftmost route at Bonetown. To the right is "Entrance Fee".

[Hide Comment] Perhaps this route is named after a Crinoid en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crinoid fossil nearby? I will have to poke around next time I am out there. Mar 11, 2010
[Hide Comment] Unless some holds have recently broken, this thing is not 11d and certainly not 11b as the previous commenter stated. My partner and I were on-sighting 11s throughout the day and neither of us could even do the moves to the first decent crimp above the first bolt. Also, there are only 5 bolts. Dec 25, 2017

[Hide Comment] I agree with Stephen this is easily a 12. It is also sharp and the belay is overgrown. The MP algorithm is also strange on this one. For reasons unknown I don't see my suggested grade or tick under the opinion section. 7 of the other 8 routes I did today all seam fine. Only one tick showing for the last decade seems wrong for a route claiming to be in contention for top route. Nov 13, 2023
