Description

The first 80 feet of this 200 foot beast is 90/95 degrees to a good belay ledge. Then it's 120 feet of sustained vertical ice with a couple of very slopey ledges. The top is a very cruxy to exit.

Location

Whitewater Creek where it dumps over the west side of Grand Mesa. Approximately 2 miles from Lands End. This one requires a 3 mile hike (shoes or skis) round trip, even if getting there before road closes. After road closes it will be 22 mile round trip ski from CO Highway 65 and Lands End road, or 22 mile snowmobile trip.

Protection

200 foot rope to fix for rappel in. 2nd 200 foot rope for lead out. Screws. Rock pro for edge of climb, optional. Will take screws all the way.
