Steep blocky climbing leads to a final roof tamed with big jugs. Same start as Turf Safari but avoid taking the path of least resistance and climb straight up or slightly right of the second bolt. After that continue up the easy jugs to the anchor.

[Hide Comment] i am having a hard time understanding what line this route takes compared to savannah. nowhere close to 8 bolts on it, no matter how you do it. Aug 13, 2021

[Hide Comment] Book says use same bolts as the 5.7 but stay to the right of them. Crux is moving straight up from bolt 2 on a small high crimp. Contrary to the bolt comment in the book, this route has its own bolt 3. Then I recommend clipping bolt 4 on the right (10c bolt) to prevent rope drag. I ran out the next 2 bolts skipping them to reduce rope drag, which is a calculated risk that could result in a dangerous fall but it's a scramble up there. Makes for an awkward climb IMO. [Hide Comment] I think that it might make sense to remove this climb and add it as a variation to Turf Safari because they share all the same bolts. Sep 18, 2023

[Hide Comment] Top roped by rapelling off tree that's about 10' above bolted anchors (rapped to anchors then pulled rope in order to TR off anchors.) Easy enough to do but do not attempt if folks are below - many toaster-sized rocks above anchors that could seriously injure/kill someone at bottom if dislodged. Jun 11, 2024
