RAIN AND WET ROCK The sandstone in Red Rocks is fragile and is very easily damaged when it is wet. Details

Description

An excellent route up a varietyof different features, including (you guessed it) a couple large pockets. Starts below a steep, right facing flake. Another pumpy, technical face climb.

Protection

6 bolts to anchors.

Sand in small pockets is the devil's work. Some crumbly/chossy holds (feet mostly)---make sure your belayer wears a helmet. There's a hueco on this you can crawl inside and sit down in :). I don't remember which, but there is a funny (scary) bolt or two on this route. Jan 15, 2010
