Description
"Black Tide" ascends the prominent black water streak on the right side of the Left Flank, between "B-line" and "Espresso." Positive holds lead to a lower angle section at mid-height. Pockets and small edges on the steep black flake lead to a horizontal and stemming to reach the 2-ring Fixe anchor on the right wall. While it's not unusual to see a climber trying to stem/chimney the crease between the Left Flank and the Java Wall, the best line ascends the black streak on the face left of the crease.
