Climb the Rib past 7 bolts, to an interesting finish.

Octane Boost

7 Bolts PG13. Some may want a TCU between 4th and 5th bolt.

Fun climb, the crux is definitely at the finish. I opted out of using the arete which made getting to the anchor much more difficult. Apr 21, 2016

easy to setup from the top as a top rope, then you don't have to mess with the PG13 rating (which I agree with). May 1, 2016
Closer to 5.9? I thought the final slab section was a bit tricky. Definitely a fun lead, but can also be toproped. Note that the right hangar at the chain anchor is starting to spin slightly. Still seems pretty bomber, but worth careful examination before you commit to a rap or lower.

Be sure to leave a friend at the top of "Learner's Permit" for some sweet photos. Aug 29, 2018
