Marrakesh, aka Nameless Traverse

V2, Boulder, 18 ft (5 m),  Avg: 3.1 from 18 votes
FA: unknown
New York > Gunks > Trapps Bouldering > Nameless Area

Description

Start with your hands in the horizontal under the roof. Work up and right through several layers of horizontals to a right facing flake. Top out above. This problem has great moves on good holds to a highball top out that will test your nerve. If you like this, wait until you try its variant listed as a second problem in the guide.

The Gunks App gives it the name "Bein-Stannard" in honor of the probable first ascensionists.

Location

The problem starts in the middle of the Nameless boulder near where the Undercliff Road falls away to a deep depression. Start with your hands in the horizontal underneath the roof.

committing highball. gets the heart racing.
I'd suggest being confident with top outs and/or checking it out as it's pretty flat up there Oct 22, 2022
