The crux is either clipping or passing the second bolt. A big jug up and on the left after the second bolt ends the difficulties. There is groundfall danger at or clipping the second bolt. If .10a at 38 is hard for you stay off this route.

Third route on Off Ramp.

5 bolts.

10a is a soft grade for this one compared to other similarly graded routes nearby at 38. Could easily be called a 10b.

I found myself wishing it had at least two more bolts. Placement of the bolts seemed pretty sub-optimal. First bolt was also difficult to reach safely. Not fun enough for the risk, I likely won't lead it another time.

It's possible to set up a top-rope from above. Sep 12, 2016

Ya, this was definitely harder than it's .10a neighbor. May 18, 2014

I thought this one was way harder than the "boys" route. May 20, 2012
