Lower Main Wall/East Buttress Trails Re-opened Details

Description

The route ascends a very steep and crimpy face through a bulge at half height. The moves are tricky, and it is not a very easy line to protect with natural gear. It felt considerably harder to me than Frogs in Space to the left. After passing the bulge at mid height, the difficulty eases up. There is a bolted anchor at the top.

Location

This route is the third bolted line on the steep face to the right of Zig Zag.

Protection

4 bolts and gear to 1"
Placing gear on this route is difficult.
Bolted anchor at the top.

The guidebook lists this route as "Ground Zero" 11c/d and Pinhead as the completely bolted route just to the right. 13 hours ago

This is one spicy burrito if you left the pro at home!
Also I might say its on the stout side... Definetly harder than 11b. Tricky onsight for 5.11 climbers! Overall- a very fine route. Apr 12, 2011
