FA: Dobbe?
Wisconsin > Devil's Lake > Devil's Lake Bo… > E Bluff Bouldering > E Bluff South > Horse Rampart Bouldering

super good moves up the Arete and a fun top out. with some work most holes could be filled but with enough pads all things look better.

This is the first large boulder in the talus field.

pads and lots of them. lots of holes to fill.

[Hide Comment] there are a bunch of fun lines here but they bake in the sun so find a cool overcast day. Aug 11, 2009

[Hide Comment] I bouldered in this area for many years - must have done 20-30 problems, nothing harder than v5 or so, though. The band of good boulders seems to go on forever. I remember a really cool overhanging rock that had a sharp eft side arete problem, crap landing though, and several moderates. A few dyno problems too. Funny, I took the same approach you guys did from the top too. Many of the problems were not in the talus field, though. They are in the woods to the North of the talus. Best in Fall. Aug 12, 2009
[Hide Comment] We weren't really sure if this started on the Arete proper, or in the underclings. Dobbe? Aug 22, 2011
[Hide Comment] So I think we started with a right hand on the arete and left on the undercling. Not 100% Aug 25, 2011

[Hide Comment] Dobbe's start above seems about right. 4 pads or so makes this comfortable. Sep 11, 2017
