Heart Attack

5.5, Trad, 60 ft (18 m),  Avg: 1.7 from 10 votes
FA: George Lowe and Les Ellison, 1983
Utah > Wasatch Range > Central Wasatch > Ferguson Canyon > Heart Wall

Description

Good Climb! Not the cleanest. This would not be a good climb to take a fall on. Most the climb their are plenty of holds but their are some areas that are sketchy. At the top if you walk to the west their is a nice piece of granite that you can through some slings over for an anchor. Its also a great area to belay another climber preventing rope drag.

Location

The route is on heart wall. Start climbing the aorta and when it breaks right you take the obvious route to the top that goes straight up. It will be the easiest climbing option when your on the route.

Protection

Small to medium pro. Fun area to practice nuts.

[Hide Comment] My first climb up Ferguson Canyon. I wasn't too impressed with it actually. The only interesting part of this route was the roof at the top. The walk off wasn't bad. Oct 11, 2010
