'Too Old' is not in the Amphitheater, it makes a corner with the left end of the left side of the Amphitheater area. The crack to its left, 'I'm Flyin', is not nearly so neat as to be called a dihedral; and as a crack/chimney is quite difficult. 'Too Old' has trees on a ledge above, but will not hang the rope over the face, it will fall toward the crack, as you will on the swing. The belay will block Lower Ledge Springs Trail, with no place for extra equipment or waiting people. Rock is poor quality, too. Understandably, no one climbs it, even when the cliff is very crowded. As Jeff Dillon says, "Keep walking." Feb 12, 2011

I am going to differ with the previous commenter. Yes the belay is in the trail, and yes the top anchors will swing you into a dihedral. The lower section of this climb is still a blast though, going from flake to flake as you work up various short cracks to the ledge above. The crux is topping onto the ledge, and the optional finish is the same overhanging one used for "I'm Flyin'" Jun 16, 2015

Agree with Benanstuff, this route is worth a second look. Fun lead if you can deal with the sparse pro at the start; rest of the route pros really well. Nov 28, 2018
