Description

Climb the slab via 4 bolts to a decent ledge. Climb the crack above and then around the roof to the top.

Has some decent moves, but could do with a good scrub down.

Location

In the Back section of the quarry locate a smooth slab facing west with 4 bolts on it. While smooth it certainly is not clean, though cleaner than the surrounding rock.

Protection

4 bolts plus gear for the top half. No bolts at top.

The 4 bolts were replaced by local climbers on September 1 2011, with 3in long stainless steel 5 piece bolts with new hangers. Considerable time and care was taken to remove the old bolts which allowed the reuse of the old bolt holes. Future replacement should take place around the years of 2031 to 2041. Note that all the bolt holes were drilled extra deep to allow the expansion nut to be pushed further back into the hole if its not extractable. This will allow for new 3in long bolts to be installed in the same holes further preserving the route and our rock. Oct 24, 2014
