Knee Grinder

Wyoming > Laramie Area > Vedauwoo > Nautilus
Warning Access Issue: Bad Bolt Submission Form DetailsDrop down

Description

This is a short hand crack with high feet and good hand jams to begin. Throw a jam over the constriction, and you're home free after a few fist jams up top. There is a painful knee jam optional.

Location

It is on the south side of the Nautilus, under the parabolic slab rappel and just to the left of Blood Sport. There are lots of gear anchor options for a TR.

Protection

The route takes BD #0.75 to a #4 up top. A BD #1 fits perfectly just below constriction.

Sarah standing in for scale. I thought this one was easier than Hemoglobin, but I have fat fists.

[Hide Comment] Lol, not 10a, also maybe more of a boulder problem than a route. Pretty short. Sep 19, 2014

[Hide Comment] Not 5.10 but definitely harder than 8. After a few laps and you figure out the move over the bulge, maybe it gets easier. Jul 23, 2017

[Hide Comment] Easy lead with 1x#2 & 1x#3. Just don't funk up the #3 on the knobby crystals like I did, and the climb will be over before you know it! Aug 17, 2019
