Some bulging moves off the deck followed by awesome crimping up a slabby face. As you go up the climb becomes more verticle which leads to a cruxy finish to the anchors.

Location

to the left of sweating bullets and to the right of burning toes.

9 bolts plus draws for anchors.

[Hide Comment] I believe a crucial hold may have broken off near the top of this climb. There was a chalked "X" below the first bolt to the right of a big flake. The flake didn't seem fragile and the rest of the route seemed fine except for a bit of pink rock between the last bolt and the chains. The final move is grades harder than the rest of the route. I recommend bringing up an extra sling to aid up that last bit if you can't free-climb it. Dec 6, 2012
[Hide Comment] The crux is the last moves, blindly reaching for a hidden edge just over the lip. Climb straight up and even a touch left from the last bolt, gain the hidden edge, then move right to clip the anchor. I think some people get sandbagged by trying to go up/right from the last bolt, essentialy trying to climb too direct. Grade is solid 11b. Dec 24, 2024
