BLM Managed Lands at Castle Rocks PERMANENTLY CLOSED TO CLIMBING!! Castle Rocks State Park lands are OPEN TO CLIMBING Details

The moves may seem hard to find from the bottom but once you get up on the wall the holds are all there. This is the funnest route on the wall and well worth the hike. The summit of this wall can be reached by scrambling up from these chains, be very careful getting back to the chains.

This is the furthest right, bolted route on the wall.

A bolted route with bolted chain anchors. We used a large horn up top as an anchor to down climb back to the chains (if you summit).

You can also just "down lead" to the anchor atop Tidal Wave from the summit and place pro on the way down, and have the second pull that pro while the leader protects them from the anchor. A bit scary, but, maybe safer than a dubious horn (we couldn't find any anchor: good on ya!). Jul 10, 2009
