Description

This is essentially a third pitch to Highlander but was apparently put up at another time. Continue up the face/arete from the top of Highlander over easy ground on large holds. Finish at a two bolt anchor near the top of the pillar, shared with Loch Lomond. To return to the base of the south face, rap in three pitches or one double rope rappel. To descend the west face, rappel in one pitch.

Location

Upper section of the southwest arete.

Protection

3 bolts, bolted anchor

I enjoyed it as an obvious final pitch of Highlander, so why not do it? Easy climbing between the spacious bolts to the final two-bolt anchor. Nov 10, 2014
