Description

Crux towards the middle of the route. Great rock except some loose stuff at the top which is easy to avoid. Nice exposure on the arete, fun moves.

Location

This is the furthest left route on the west face. Up a little hill at the base of the rock. There is a bolt for the belayer on the rock next to the wall if needed. Rap or lower to get off

Protection

11 bolts to a two cold shut anchor.

[Hide Comment] Pretty sure this route has 11 bolts, not 8. Watch for loose stuff up top, otherwise fun arete climbing. Feb 1, 2014

[Hide Comment] Very beautiful route. Awesome movement on unique, bullet-hard limestone patina and in a great position. Only detraction is the loose stuff near the top, but easy to climb through without disturbing it. Felt easier than Original Sin 10b to the right. Oct 2, 2017

[Hide Comment] We’ve been putting a few days effort on cleaning off the choss after the crux. It’s getting much better, but still be careful. Thankfully it’s very easy around there.

The first bolt was a spinner and sticking a ways out of the wall so I tried to tighten it but it was already stripped inside. I pulled out on the bolt with about 15 pounds force and it popped out. So yeah, first bolt is missing for now. Nov 20, 2022
