I don't know much about this climb but posted this because I thought I'd done Gold Digger but came to find out that I didn't. If you've done it (and know it), please send me comments, and I'll paste them in (or I'll delete this entry and let you author it).

I first learned of this route after seeing this article by Durango climber, Jared Ogden. He listed this route as a Grade III.

The Eureka Pillar is located to the lookers left of the deep canyon by the old mill at the old Eureka mining settlement.

There was a rope tied up on the last rappel station of Gold digger when I climbed it. It was tied up to the anchors, and I was not comfortable rapping on it so I pulled it down, so I could use my rope on the chains. I placed it at the bottom of the scree field, so if someone comes back to claim it, they don't have to hike up. If this was meant to be a fixed rappel line, sorry I took it down, but I was not comfortable lowering on it. If you know whose rope it is, it is located on a big boulder at the bottom of the scree right below Gold Digger. Aug 26, 2010

The pitch in the picture is the first pitch of Hardrock Miner, 5.7, bolts. Golddigger is the original route on the wall which traversed into the ledge from the left and then climbed the corner to the right of the face. Trad. Aug 27, 2009
