The Melon Patch. Just like Lee says watch the flake at the top. Falling from this would not be conducive to a good trip.

[Hide Comment] sweet jugs, multiple knee bars including a no hands near the top, not that they are necessary. Beware the hollow flake at the top. May 17, 2009
[Hide Comment] I disagree with the description saying the crux is at the bottom. I found it to be the topout. It's not hard, but worrying about a loose flake (that I never found), made it interesting. I'd recommend running around and checking out the top before going for it, if you're concerned. Dec 5, 2018

[Hide Comment] It’s gotta be at least 25 feet. Great climb, but don’t get sucked in if you aren’t super confident, the crux is at the top. If you blow it your chances of severe injury are very high. I didn’t use any pads, and if you think that you need them them don’t try the route. How does this not warrant an “X” or at least an “R”? Anyone who finds bouldering at this grade challenging at all should stay the he** away from this route. Dec 20, 2022

[Hide Comment] Although the bottom is arguably more physical, the top is more challenging. I've watched multiple people pause or panic towards the top. I also paused and down climbed twice before I sent. I found a knee bar that was more secure than trusting a small foot. It was easy climbing, but mentally engaging. Without knowing about the knee bar, it's an insecure move. Someone fell from there and got pretty hurt, but was lucky in the way that they fell. I would highly recommend not taking this lightly, especially if it's one of your first times climbing outside. Feb 27, 2023
