[Hide Comment] Five bolts and a bit of runout between some of them. I think this route is great for lead beginners to get confidence with clipping. Two bolts for anchoring at the end of the route are NOT next to each other. Rappel off the Rappel Gully route: a big bolt on your right, hidden under a boulder. Oct 17, 2018
[Hide Comment] Probably the easiest route to get up to the Monk. After the last bolt stay right. The anchors are next to the tree. Nov 15, 2019

[Hide Comment] A true walk up that never really needed the bolts. But I will take protection anywhere I can get it.

Easiest lead youll ever do. And totally solo material. Have fun, be safe, and continue on to the monk East Face 5.6 for a perfect day.

At the top you can't really see the anchors. Continue on past last bolt to climbers left and up gully. They are there and solid. Oct 22, 2020

[Hide Comment] Didn't feel like 3rd or 4th class terrain to me, but it was undoubtedly easy. There is a nice 2-bolt anchor at the top, but there is one ontop of the other rather than side-by-side. The bolts were all super solid glue-ins. Nice way to access the praying monk. Dec 2, 2024
