Reopened after flood damage! Details

Description

This is a good traversing climb that follows the dikes from the start of Current Event up and left to the top of Storm Surge.

Climb Current Event to the fourth bolt, then continue traversing left on the dikes past two bolts to join Storm Surge. Climb the top part of Storm Surge past its final bolt to the anchors.

Protection

7 bolts to 2-bolt anchor.

Per Matt Chezem: this route has been chopped. Looking at the boulders at the bottom, I assume because of rockfall.

DANGEROUS ROCKFALL!!!

The storm on November 17, 2015 caused significant rockfall on Eddyline and Current Event.

The rockfall damaged the anchor on Current Event and possibly bolts on Eddyline.

The rock which came down took out several trees at the start of Eddyline, and impacted where the belayer would stand for Eddyline and Current Event.

The source of the rockfall is between two trees above the anchors of Current Event and the start of Current Event and Eddyline. It looks like there is additional loose rock ready to come down.

I would avoid this route for safety reasons!!
