Private Land-gate closed and locked by nightfall. Details

Description

Jam up the crooked crack in the center of the wall. Staying to the right is about the same difficulty.

Protection

A few cams in the mid range will work. I used a tri-cam for a bottom directional and stoppers will help with the anchor.

This is a very solid little crack climb. I lean more 5.7+. Took cams #.75-#3 and some nuts. I ran it out a little bit, but you could sew it up with doubles in #1-#3. I used tri cams for the anchor up top. Definitely worth a repeat. Mar 25, 2017

Excellent crack, I think this is the best trad route at Sugarloaf after Sherpa Connection. A more fitting name would be Short & Sustained. I agree with K Baumgartner, it's more challenging and awkward that it looks. Protects well with a standard rack. Build anchor at top to belay partner, then hike back down. Nov 5, 2013
