This is the steeper Y variation.


Pro to 3 inches.

This is an awesome route. Well-protected, slightly vegetated crack, and stem to slab and layback finish. The crux might be the last 8 ft to the anchor. I think the guidebook mentions liebacking the entire thing.

It is a pretty long route. When lowering with a 60m, a climber can stop and scramble off an obvious ledge. Apr 9, 2017

I don't really understand what's going on with this route. It gets 4 stars and a 5.10d grade in the Haas guidebook, but I didn't think that it had any 5.10 moves, and it was more reminiscent of a mediocre CCC route. The other climbs that we did that weekend all felt pretty stout at the grade. Oct 31, 2018
