Tennessee > Lower Leda

Description

No distinct crux. Nice 5.7 climbing the whole way. The upper part is the better part of the climb with interesting knob like holds and exciting exposure for Leda.

Location

Once you hike up the access trail this route is directly in front of you. It starts in the left facing corner and follows huge holds up and right to a high first bolt. From there it goes onto the face above.

Protection

Six bolts, ring anchors.

[Hide Comment] This route makes a nice first lead of the day -- nothing really strenuous, but not a routine 5.7 either. Dec 31, 2011

[Hide Comment] Sweet route that follows ledges and a juggy arete to a thinner, slab finish. Beware of the hornets nest that lies in a 5" deep pocket around the 3rd bolt. Aug 23, 2012

[Hide Comment] Great climb for a 5.7! Fun position on the arĂȘte and headwall Dec 25, 2014
[Hide Comment] Great climb to learn to lead on! You may want a stick clip, first clip is ~18 feet up. Little exposed after the ~5th draw, use your feet. Feb 7, 2023
