Access Issue: Do Not Climb On or Around Rock Shelters and Pictographs
Details
17th century rock shelters and pictographs exist in this area. Climbers must be mindful of these cultural resources and avoid climbing on or around them. In June 2024 it was discovered that two new routes had been bolted in or near these resources next to the Roof Wall. The routes will be removed per the forest service.
Description
Pulling the small roof is the crux and felt difficult for the grade. Thin climbing above the roof to the anchors. Staying left above the roof is supposedly 5.9 climbing.
Location
Walk left at the top of the access trail. The route is 35 feet to the left of the first roof you pass.
Protection
4 bolts, 2 bolt chain anchor.
