Description

This is a fun route with good protection. The guidebook shows a rating of 10c, but it felt more like 9+/10- to me.

Location

This is the fourth bolted route you come to on Solar Slab. The line is straight up and is well protected.

Protection

6 bolts to 2-bolt anchor. The crux is around the fourth bolt.

Well protected, 3rd-4th bolt is the crux.

[Hide Comment] Little sandy but a great lead. One of my toughest leads yet. Both anchor bolts were bomber! Feb 13, 2015

[Hide Comment] This felt easier than both Tava and Icarus, but it may be height-dependent. Fun climb if you're in the area! Aug 3, 2018
[Hide Comment] Well-protected climb, really enjoyed this. Would rate this 10-. Jul 21, 2019

[Hide Comment] Stuart Green's guidebook rates this 5.8. Seems about right. I'm 5' 10ish Mileage may vary for shorter folks.

[Hide Comment] Guidebook rates it 8, but it definitely felt 9+, for a shorter climber such as myself. Felt easier leading though than some sections I TR'd on Tava. Oct 16, 2022
