P.M.C. 1

5.6, Trad, 50 ft (15 m),  Avg: 2.5 from 2 votes
FA: unknown
International > Europe > United Kingdom > England > Peak District > Curbar Edge > Avalanche Wall

Description

P.M.C. 1 directly assaults one of the steepest parts of the Avalanche Wall. Don't be intimidated, though- the route has more positive holds than you can shake a stick at and ample protection, at least on the lower half. Begin by working up through the spider's web of good hand cracks to gain a large ledge. Continue rightwards up a juggy ramp with less protection to gain the flat summit.

Location

The right side of the Avalanche Wall on the dark north-facing buttress. Start at cracks on the left hand side.

Protection

Hand sized gear on the bottom half, small nuts and creativity on the upper.
