Description [Suggest Change]

Scramble up the lower angle slabs to the shared "alcove / ledge" for many of the routes on the Main Wall. Welcome goes up the blocky left side arete.

Nice route. The lower slab is fun and well protected. It's difficult to determine from the topo where the routes on the upper 1/2 of the wall go. The 2nd pitch of "Welcome to CA Limestone" climbs up and left over a blocky section to a bolt at the base of a long steep arete/slab. The moves up the arete/slab are excellent and fun on steep featured limestone, but the 1st bolt (P2)is too low and a fall before the 2nd bolt could be extremely ugly!! (onto the blocky area below).
4 bolts (1st pitch) - anchor w/ chains
5 bolts (2nd pitch) - anchor w/ chains Dec 6, 2010
