Description

The drink, not a bouldering grade.

A tricky crack that actually climbs quite well with the right beta. Squat start at the lip of the roof with a two handed jug in the crack. Follow a jug and a sidepull up the crack to the crux and figure out how to stand up on the face.

A much more difficult variation starts 10-15 feet down in the lowball cave and climbs into the start.

Smoothie links Lactose into this climb as a worthy moderate.

Location

On the backside of the Welcome Boulders, away from the trail. Scramble left to downclimb the slab, or head right to drop down to another boulder.

There are some good sidepull underclings low on this crack, which makes a sit start possible. The first and second move are the crux, and involve a hard lock-off on the underclings, or a toss up to a decent sidepull higher in the crack. I'd give the sit start a grade of around v5 or so. Nov 6, 2016
