The crux is getting onto the wall by stepping left off a block. Nice T.R. if you got your rope already up.

This is on Left Wire's middle wall.

Top-rope. Now has bolts and its own anchor. I'm not the installer and don't know the bolt count yet? I will update info when I know.

Per Tane Owens: now it has its own anchors.

Per rob bauer: this route has now been bolted and appears to be basically the same as The Man on a Wire. Only the last 5 feet are different, since there is a new anchor.

Now has bolts and its own anchor. 5.9 at least and will be pretty a decent climb once the crumbles get knocked off. Oct 7, 2014

Very cool. I'll update. Any chance you know the bolt count? Oct 11, 2014

Hey Luke,
There seems to be a bit of a redundancy. Is Staff synonymous with Man on a Wire? If so, then it looks like it has 6 bolts and a 2 bolt anchor. Also, I should clarify that I am not the one who added the bolts. Not sure who did, but they're nice! Nov 9, 2014

Tane, I developed this route and added the bolts a couple years ago. The Staff was never a route, just a crumbly face that was much harder than what someone called 5.7. Not sure how it got on MP as a route, haha. Before I cleaned it, the line was unclimbable pegmatite. It's called Man on a Wire, and I did the FA. Glad you are exploring it! Nov 10, 2014

It was TR'ed a long time ago off the R.A. anchors by my buddy John M. the day he put it in. We left it unbolted. Not a new line so much as a newly equipped line by Kevin. Nov 10, 2014
