Warning Access Issue: Warning for the Great Northern Slab and Sonic Slab areas on the west (left) end DetailsDrop down

Description Suggest change

Left of Terminal Preppie and Pretty Vacant is this line of 7 bolts. The crux is encountered amongst the first three bolts. Despite the low angle, expect to pull hard on small holds. The author of the most recent guidebook, Darryl Cramer, calls it "...an example of truly difficult low angle slab climbing." (Sky Valley Rock, 1999) That pretty much sums it up. The rest of the climb is 5.10 and is very enjoyable.

Location Suggest change

The slab left of Roger's Corner contains three classy slab climbs: Terminal Preppie, Pretty Vacant, and Sonic Reducer; they are encountered in that order.

Protection Suggest change

7 bolts and a bolted anchor. Probably old webbing at the anchor; I don't recall whether or not there were chains. One 60m rope will suffice for the rappel.
