Georgia > Mt Yonah > Lowers

Description

Lots of cracks and jugs that get thinner as you get higher. Climb up to a small roof and then go left into a large crack at the top where you finish on a small flat face with crimpy holds.

Location

It's on the left side of the Lowers still on the upper tier. To the right of Two (obviously) and to the right of the large crack. It goes up to underneath the large tree on top.

Protection

Top rope from the Army cable and anchors on top or lead it with the gobs of bolts on the route.

Top down view of the crux on three. V slot with smooth walls to fit through. There's a small nearly invisible (from below) pocket on the climbers left about 2/3 of the way up the slot.

[Hide Comment] Plenty of bolts on this one. Like lead climbing in the gym. 10-12 bolts. Nov 14, 2011

[Hide Comment] Good entry-level climb. Three or four ways to handle the crux; more than a few end up with a beached whale pose. Apr 22, 2014
