Description

The sharp arete on the Ship's Prow Boulder, is a great route but has potential for an awkward fall into the tree that is just to the left of it. You can climb this from a sit start or a stand start, on good holds. Most of the feet are there but it is a little weird because you are hugging the arete all the way to the top. I recommend this to everyone, it is a lot of fun, with a few weird moves but to keep some adventure in this route I am not going to describe these weird moves, just jump on the route and you will finish with a smile.

Location

On sharp arete on Ship's Prow this arete points to Prow Wow aka the Monkey Hang.

Protection

Pad and a spotter.

I think Dave Quinn did an early if not FA of this. He did a bunch of lines on this boulder back in the day. I'll have to ask him next time I see him. Mar 21, 2016
climbed it today before my shoes had warmed up, that tree makes for a sketchy fall Nov 13, 2013
