Description
The Grand Traverse moves across Vulture View Rock from left to right. The climbing is varied and features a nice rest. It is part of a very contrived larger traverse of most of the central area of Whiskey.
Start under the far left end of the enormous roof. Climb delicately rightward on small crimps (crux) to gain a wide crack in the center of the face below the roof. Jam or layback this 10 feet up and continue traversing on the juggy horizontal. A rest ledge can be found at the right corner of the roof where the horizontal ends. From here, the problem traverses a tricky slab. With sparse hands, walk your feet down and across the rail-like features. Once across the slab, climb the chimney to the top of the rock and enjoy a warm beer.
