California > San Francisco B… > Wine Country/No… > Mt St Helena > Far Side > Shute-Mills Area

Description

This is a face climb on the west end of the lower rock formation, just left of Something Good. It is rated 5.9 in Chris Summit's "Wine Country Rocks," but the best holds are tricky to find on your first attempt, so 5.10a may be more appropriate.

[Hide Comment] This climb is definitely tricky if you are new to outdoor climbing. The distance between the second and third bolt is about 10-15ft, but if you can make it to the ledge you’re solid.

There are three anchors at the top of the route, but they are all a distance away from the top out.

Would suggest raping/lowering from the right side anchor, as the anchor set for this route in particular looks a bit schetch. Apr 1, 2019
